Full Super Blue Moon in Aquarius (August 19, 2024)

Happy Full Moon in Aquarius! Full moons are a time for release and rejuvenation. This full moon sits in the Aquarius constellation, while the sun sits opposite in Leo. We also have a blue moon and a super moon, which is a rare occurrence. A super moon is happening because we have a full moon while the moon's orbit is closer to Earth than it normally is. A seasonal blue moon is happening because rather than three blue moons, there are four full moons this season. Yes, you have a legitimate reason to use the phrase “once in a blue moon” today.

            What does all this mean? Well the Aquarian full moon energy invites you to release anything that constrains you from being your most authentic self. In astrology, people often label Aries as being the rebel. However, Aquarians are arguably the most rebellious sign in the zodiac. The Aquarius is not afraid to challenge the status quo. Furthermore, in their highest expression, Aquarians give others freedom to be their most authentic selves as well. The Aquarian mission is to evolve the collective a few steps further than it has gone previously.

            So, with all this information, how can you make this full moon practical? Well, the Aquarian would say that is up to you, and don’t be told what to do. Thus, I simply invite you to ask yourself the following question, “What restrictions in my life are preventing me from being my truest, happiest self?” Then, take that information, and decide how you can alter or eliminate these restrictions in your life. Most importantly, however, the Aquarian full moon invites you to let your freak flag fly. Thus, give both yourself and the people in your life the freedom to be unique, weird, quirky, and most importantly—happy.
