Lucille Clifton is often credited for saying, “We cannot create what we can't imagine.” What a potent observation. I can’t think of a better quote to explain the full moon in Pisces while the Sun is in Virgo. The Pisces is all about imagination. Virgo, the opposite of Pisces, wants to focus more on the creation aspect. Virgo wants concrete results. Virgo may even say that too much time spent in one’s imagination is foolish. However, Pisces softens the Virgo mindset. The Pisces full moon says, "imagination is the first step in any creation." In fact, the Pisces even says, "let that imagination run wild!"
In today's society, many of us are simultaneously overstimulated by and deprived of creativity. We are overstimulated by creativity in the sense that we are constantly on electronic devices, looking at the creations of others. Whether it's social media scrolling, reading an article, or watching television—the creative acts of others are constantly flooding our minds. At the same time, however, many of us feel deprived of creativity. Many of us are so busy with the modern lifestyle, that we don't ever get the time to slow down and be the creative beings we want to be. Instead, we waste away our energy watching creative acts. However, each and every one of us has the potential to create beautiful things. To clarify, I do not mean that you have to become Picasso overnight. Creative acts can include cooking a new recipe, playing an instrument, writing down your thoughts, starting a side business, or even just styling an outfit for yourself. Small creative acts can still stimulate big changes within our souls. Thus, for this full moon, I invite you to release whatever bad habits may be blocking you from engaging in creative, positive action in your life. And as always, I hope you find peace in whatever you need to release to be the best version of yourself.
With love and light,
Abby
